performance statistics. See chapter 71 for information about viewing statistics.
6 Use the 5620 SAM-O interface to retrieve the performance statistics records from
the 5620 SAM for processing by a third-party application. See the 5620 SAM-O OSS
Interface Developer Guide for information about using the 5620 SAM-O to transfer
statistics records from the 5620 SAM database to an OSS client application.

68.4 Performance statistics collection procedures
Use the following procedures to configure the collection of performance statistics
using the 5620 SAM.
Procedure 68-1 To create or modify an NE MIB statistics policy using
a top-down method
Perform this procedure to configure a policy for performance statistics collection on
one or more NE MIBs using the NE properties form.
1 Choose Tools→Statistics→MIB Policies from the 5620 SAM main menu. The Manage
MIB Statistics Policies form opens.
2 Choose NE MIB Statistics Policy (SNMP) from the object drop-down list.

To create or modify an NE MIB statistics policy
using a top-down method
Configure an NE MIB statistics policy using
5620 SAM statistics management forms.
To modify an NE MIB statistics policy using a
bottom-up method
Configure an NE MIB statistics policy using a
5620 SAM discovery rule.
To create or modify a specific MIB statistics
policy using a top-down method
Configure a specific MIB statistics policy using
5620 SAM statistics management forms.
To create or modify a specific MIB statistics
policy using a bottom-up method
Configure a specific MIB statistics policy using an
object properties form.
To configure polling for a MIB statistics class Specify the polling criteria for a MIB statistics
class.
To configure a statistics policy for MIB statistics Specify how the 5620 SAM manages the
collected MIB statistics for a statistics class.
